Check Out My New Place In Coral Gables, FL

May 31st, 2008 by Amit

I’m finally settled in to my new place in Coral Gables, which is a suburb of Miami.

Check it out…

The food, the culture, and just about everything else in Coral Gables ROCKS! For Shilpi and I it’s been a total upgrade from the condo we had in Boston.

As soon as we get back to Boston in 6 months we’re going to start hunting for a condo in Back Bay that will top our place in Coral Gables. Once you upgrade your lifestyle, it really bites to have to take it back down a notch.

None of this would have been possible if I wasn’t a super affiliate. The rent on our Coral Gables place is double the mortgage payment on my place in Boston, which by the way I’m still paying in full.

Even if I was a big shot in the corporate world and had the money to cover a hefty rent plus a mortgage, I wouldn’t have the freedom to move down here.

Affiliate income represent REAL FREEDOM. There’s nothing like it in the world! )

Friday Review Round-Up: May 30th 2008

May 30th, 2008 by Elizabeth

Welcome to the Friday Review Round-Up! Each Friday I scour the blogosphere for product reviews that I think are well-written, informative, and just plain interesting. My goal in doing this is to not only find reviews that deserve some attention, but to also help the review blogger community as a whole. We all work hard at what we do and we deserve recognition for it! So, without further ado, here are my picks:

*Mama Maven from Reviews from the Delaney Diaries reviewed Maiden America non-slip barrettes for kids at http://delaneydiaries.typepad.com/reviews/. Sounds like I need these for my daughter’s fine yet unruly hair! Read her review of Maiden America barrettes here.

*Amy at Mums the Wurd reviewed Matilda Jane clothing for kids. Her site is under construction but knowing Amy (which I do!), it will just be even more fabulous when it’s done. Read her review of Matilda Jane clothing here.

*Proving that not every review has to be a gushing fountain of praise, Leeanthro wrote a review for The Full Mommy of the Baby Einstein Baby’s First Sounds DVD in which she says why she was not a fan of it. Read her review of Baby’s First Sounds DVD here.

*Emily posted a review on Props & Pans of a product made by Mark, an offshoot of the Avon company. It’s a mattifying lotion that apparently soaks up oil without drying out your skin, something I could use myself! Read her review of Mark Matte Chance here.

*SassyFrazz reviewed Automoblox, which, HELLO AUTOMOBLOX P.R. REPS PLEASE EMAIL ME! My daughter would go NUTS for those four little people that fit inside the car! Sounds like it was a big hit at her house. Read her Automoblox review here.

*Shannon Hutton, one of my roommates at BlogHer last year, who was a new blogger last year, and now writes the Momsational blog on the Sparkplugging website, which is FANTASTIC and CONGRATULATIONS, Shannon!, wrote a review of the photo processing site Snapfish, and gives a link to get a free flipbook and 50 free prints from Snapfish.

When you visit these blogs to read their reviews, feel free to tell them that MomReviews sent you! And join me next Friday for another Friday Review Round-Up!

Apple 3G iPhone on its way and casing images show possible new design

May 30th, 2008 by Phones Review

June 9th draws closer and nearer to the Apple WWDC event being held in San Francisco, and as we do so more images of the next gen Apple 3G iPhone hit the net waves; so many images have been offered up these past few weeks it is easy to say with a fair amount of confidence, just what sort of visually artistic changes to expect with the Apple 3G iPhone.

For instance we already know there have been some changes to the Apple 3G iPhone’s exterior appearance with more tapered edges, narrower chrome bezel, glossy plastic rear which replaces the old Mb-A1 cover of the present Apple iPhone, and reviser docking port connector/speaker area.

Apple 3G iPhone

Also everyone can continue speculating at what may or may not be as Apple certainly as usual isn’t letting anything official escape. Only silence ever comes from Apple HQ until they are good and ready to say what they have to say.

So here are the latest images being touted over the net waves, and supposedly showing the next gen Apple 3G iPhone casing, which looks to fall in line with mock-ups that have been gleaned from 3G iPhone case moulds, but are they real?

Apple 3G iPhone

I’m not saying they aren’t, but then again I’m not saying they are, you make you your own mind on this one. With May almost at an end, a couple of weeks more and everything will be answered and clear with the Apple 3G iPhone, let’s hope the whispers about the launch date are similarly true.

Google show off Android based HTC Dream at conference: Video

May 30th, 2008 by Phones Review

Word is hitting the net waves that Google has pushed out a live demo of the much rumoured HTC Dream with its Android flavour while in San Francisco at the companies I/O conference. Reports intimate that the HTC Dream has an approximate touch-screen size of 3 inches x 5 inches and has a slider keyboard.

Not a great deal of information is available at present, but whisper is the HTC Dream will apparently pack an accelerometer that allows the user to tilt the handset to scroll across Google Maps or Street View. It does appear the Android team have been burning the midnight oil to bring the user inferface up to scratch as not to disappoint.

android

Once the HTC Dream hits the public it will have to contend with the big guns of the mobile phone assault this year, the Apple 3G iPhone obviously being the major contender, with the likes of the Sony Ericsson EXPERIA X1 and the Samsung TouchWiz chasing in the sidelines.

So we will just have to wait a while to see if the Google Android flavoured HTC Dream mobile phone really does hit the target and can stand up against all comers. Information and images will be passed on as and when we get them so keep an eye out.

Video demo below for your viewing pleasure.

Rev up with the Sony Ericsson Ducati Z770 as it zooms into Italy

May 30th, 2008 by Phones Review

Brand names are big business, and the mobile industry embraces the designer labels and automakers brand names. Let’s face it if you’ve got a mundane mobile phone and want to make it shift well then slap a designer name on it and it’ll move quicker, especially if the price is right.

And now there seems to be a new player in the game, a new famous brand the mobile industry can play with Ducati, and only Ducati are really putting out bike themed gear. So we now see the latest to be emblazoned with Ducati, the Sony Ericsson Z770 flip design mobile phone.

sony ericsson ducati z770

The Sony Ericsson Z770 Ducati branded mobile phone is due release in Italy in June, and isn’t anything special in the mobile features department, but has the Ducati designer paint job along with a special Ducati themed HBH DS-220 headset.

The Sony Ericsson handset itself is a tri-band GSM non-smartphone clamshell style mobile with one of the slightly better browsers, measures 93 x 48 x 16mm with a weight of 91 grams and has GPRS, HSDPA, USB 2.0 + A2DP, and Bluetooth so it isn’t that bad a mobile phone, and well that Ducati branding sure does look inviting, especially to the bikers out there. So biker dudes just remember to take the keys out of your bike when you are too busy walking off drooling over your new Ducati branded mobile.
